This was taken last summer and up untill now I hadn't thought about posting this, however its such a landmark I thought I should post it up here for all to see.

This is the famous statue outside of the Glasgow Gallery of Modern Art (GoMA for short) which has been the butt of an ongoing University prank for years now.

Basicly some drunken Uni students put a traffic cone on the statues head and its been there more or less ever since. Everytime they take it down it just goes back up again... sometimes even the horse has a cone on its head.

You can sometimes see Japaneese tourists getting there pictures taken in front of it.

Might have been me as it was in amongst the ones of you and Todd Various.

Wonder if I'll see him again in Glasgow this summer.

didn't you say they stopped trying to take the cone off because people kept putting it back on?

Yeah basicly the Police keep taking it off... as its essentially an act of Vandalism... but in the end it just winds up back up there.

One summer when it was taken down the like Mayor of Glasgow turned round and demanded it be replaced as it was a tourist attraction.

Yeah ... Everytime they take it off it end up being replaced... sometimes like I said with one on the horses head too LoL. !

No I've not had the privelage of putting it on it's head yet... I'm not that good at climbing anyway.

Although there was one drunken night in Glasgow where stuff like that could have happened lol.
